Today, I just added to my profile description, "conscientious objector." I think that's pretty cool. I'm adding this because I've been making a numbered of inspired posts here in the past few days on the topic of nuclear armament, which I think should be opposed in order to maintain a clear conscience. One of these posts has, by the way, earned me the most upvotes I have ever received! If this activism ends up not achieving its aim, at least I'll have my consolation prize. 馃檪 Thanks Steemit!

Before adding this new descriptive term to my profile, I looked up the definition to see if it really applied to me. What I found is that no, most of it does not apply. (Why? Simply because I'm not being forced into military service and requesting to be exempt from it due to my conscience.) But then, there was this second wider meaning for this expression suggesting that people who oppose working for the military and it's industrial complex because of their conscience can be considered conscientious objetors. That second possible meaning is not a perfect fit either but it's close enough that I feel comfortable putting "conscientious objector" on my profile.

The reason I don't overly like that definition is that I don't really oppose anything, I just assert myself and my opinions and if anyone feels opposed by that then, it may just be that we have some communication issues that need to be resolved and that's all.

I have established the fact in this previous post that the problem with nuclear armament is not one that I can solve because I'm an average citizen. I do not belong to the top or leading layer of people (natural egoists) that produce, maintain and use nuclear armament. What I'm saying here is that nuclear armament isn't my concern, just like trying to prevent a meteoroid from falling on Earth and killing most people isn't my concern and it makes no sense to claim that I oppose or even support such things.

Having said this in defence of me being viewed as "opposing" anything, I now wish to state what I do work for as a conscientious objector: 1) to try and highlight the need for people to adopt a new strategy for their own survival or self preservation. One old strategy that clearly must be left behind is the individualistic and egoistical approach to life that systematically leads to an escalation of serious troubles. 2) to help ensure that people can gain a clear understanding of the difficulties facing the world and exposing them to the kind of solutions that will help the ordinary people figure out what is wrong for themselves and what they need to do about it.

In my next post, I will show the right strategy to argue with natural egoists who seem to think they need their bombs for peace (Some natural egoists actually believe in this statement when they say it but most understand that this is bull shit meant to baffle and confound others.) I am also planning to offer a number of important tips that you can utilise to try and lead toward a safer world. 馃檪
