Hello Steemian so it lurks in the deep and devours bony fish and crustaceans...what is it?
These bizarre eye catching pictures of the creature have been widely shared and spread all over the internet after they were posted.
The bizarre finds from the pictures were posted by a member of the National Audubon Conservation Society which discovered the beast.

While they are the ones who posted it the conservationists actually have no idea what it is, but some are suggesting it could be actually one mighty giant eel!?

This strange looking mysterious sea monster with its razor fangs washed up on the beach and has now baffled the experts.
This creature as appeared here because of the aftermath of that Hurricane Harvey the creature was found decaying on the beach of Texas City after the storm had cleared.

Well actually scientists have no idea what the mysterious creature is after it got washed up, the group's social media manager said she was out on the Texas coast after Hurricane Harvey she was assessing the sites but couldn't come up with any ideas to what the creature could be.
So in her bid to identify the mysterious sea critter she turned to Twitter of all places asking for anybody that could help.
She eventually had some biologists reply and they suggested it must be some sort of eel.
And a bloody big one I can tell you that! But while nobody can be exactly sure on what the creature was, Dr Kenneth Tighe of the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History suggests it could be a fangtooth snake eel.

I think the Doc might be on the money you know, but I dont think its exactly the same creature, its either some sort of deformed version or a species we haven't seen yet.
Its also known as the tusky eel and dont worry it's a species mainly native to the Gulf of Mexico which brings me back to what I said at the beginning they are apparently lurking in the deep ocean and they devour mostly the bony fish and diverse arthropods.
