Hey guys so I have attended 2 Steemfest events, one was in Portugal and the other in Poland and if you have not yet heard this year's Steemfest-4 event is taking place in Thailand.
Me and a friend of mine have often talked about visiting Thailand and so I thought this maybe a even greater reason to go visit this fascinating country.
Again this wonderful event as been put together by none other then @roelandp which for those who have attended he's other Steemfest events or even if you have not I'am sure you wouldn't want it any other way, trust me we are in good hands here.

Anybody who goes this year will be heading to what many call the "Venice of the East" it's a city that as around 9 million people and of course it's built in with the Chao Phraya river.

You could say it's a real city jungle, with warm weather in November included, but also a chance to explore beautiful sights like the temple of the Emerald Buddha, markets like Rot Fai's night market, the Grand Palace official residence of the Kings of Siam, the Lebua State Tower or the Lumphini Park.... yeah there is just so much to see here.

There is also the beautiful looking SteemFest-4 hotel this year at the Prince Palace Bangkok Hotel, the Siam-Society which is a beautiful place that promote's knowledge of culture, history, arts and natural sciences of Thailand, and so in my opinion a perfect place to learn and celebrate everything Steem related.

More, there is more as we can't forget about the Conference Day 2 which you will visit and be in the Grand Postal building theatre.

Apart from all these awesome places to see and many more, another good reason to go is all the Steemit Inc team people that will be attending this year.

Last time I saw this many from Steemit Inc attending was back at Steemfest2 but it's not just Steemit Inc, there are also other speakers like @theycallmedan @starkerz @howo @surpassinggoogle and many more who are worth listening too during the event.

But unfortunately like many of you know this as not been the greatest year for Steem or actually just crypto in general the bear market as not been moving too well and so many have been affected by this including myself.
And so this year I will not be attending Steemfest-4 for that reason, maybe I could of tried to gather the money needed to go but with all the changes happening on Steemit "at the time" I just couldn't see it happening.

I do regret it a little not trying as I found a great deal on a flight "only much later" and was also surprised by the price of the hotel "which honestly looks really good" if I had the money at the time to take the early deal's I definitely would.
It was the same with the actual Steemfest ticket and it's initial offering, such a great price for the whole event that is Steemfest.

In the end I cant really be sure if I would of been able to make it or not, but due to the early bird deals running out it's most likely it wouldn't of been possible.
I was also surprised to see many Steemians pull out and not going this year, while not everybody as revealed their reasons for not going I do know many are because of the bad markets this year. Also is it me or does it seem generally quieter this year? Perhaps it's because many have not had the means to post yet, but now on ending day 1 many more posts are appearing.

Still along the way I managed to collect some Steem and some money and while I can't go to SteemFest-4 this year I thought it would be a good idea to put some of those savings towards improving STEEM.

I already managed to power-up enough Steem to reach "dolphin" level which I done earlier this year.
Infact I have not powered-down a single time since I started here on Steemit.com, which is now would you believe over 3 years ago!
And so what will I be doing now ?

300 STEEM-Power-UP

Well I will now be POWERING-UP another "300" STEEM due to not spending that money on going to Steemfest-4, this will take to over the 7000 mark.
Some have asked me why the price of Steem continues to go down?
Taking away all the latest market happenings I said have you seen all the accounts that continue to up-vote on all those users that are consistently always powering down? Yet many people still give these same accounts their full up-votes and then those receiving the upvotes continue their power-down's taking away Steem's value which is why I'am happy to have retained that value and have locked it away for now over 3 years and hope to hold and lock away even more of it.

Well lets do just that, here goes a little more..

Done and now the plan is to keep going, and hopefully if really lucky I might be able to reach and lock-up 10,000 Steem power by the end of next year, any help on that would be awesome lol.

And so lastly for those at Steemfest-4 this year..well I would wish you a fantastic time but.. I already know your having a blast so enjoy it to it's fullest!!
