It's been a week since I got back from Europe, and I am looking for things to do. Being online I have seen a couple of events that look quite important to check out. First I most say, that me, being a foreigner and living alone. I am always open to meet new people, and events that have to do with business and others are something thing that I appreciate attending. Even when the event is somewhat pricey. Learning about specialist of different industries allow me to open my network of people and maybe even future business that allow me to profit.
One of the events is the one about PYMES (or SMB), which are business owners of small or medium sized business. The event hits right around my alley as their main purpose is to push business to new technologies such as AI. The event will take place in a luxury hotel close to where I live, and will have a day long program including networking sessions and technology demos. The event is called Evolución PYME 2026, it will take place on Tuesday October 6th from 8 am to 5pm.
The next event is about AI and would be targeted also at cybersecurity and AI as well as governance. The name is Cyber Tech Expo 26 and is handled by the American Chamber of Commerce in El Salvador. It would have have a Technical spotlight, panels around the future of AI in El Salvador and a legal and innovation scenario. A different panel with views on what is showcase as "Shadow AI", and governance around the use of AI in companies.
The event will take place the 14 of October at Hotel Barcelo, from 9am to 1PM. It has a cost of 75 USD and promise to have a good amount of people coming to that event. I would like to participate on both and maybe I can report back on how it went.
