En mi anterior post compartí con ustedes unos plátanos rebozados que espero les hayan gustado. Les cuento, que esos plátanos tienen historia en mi vida.

In my previous post I shared with you some battered plantains that I hope you liked. I tell you, those plantains have history in my life.
En mi post de presentación les mencione que quedé huérfana de padre siendo muy niña, específicamente a los 10 años y, que por ser una de las mayores me tocó trabajar junto a mi madre para enfrentar aquella situación tan penosa y triste, éramos cinco hermanos el menor tenía solo un año.
Así que, cuando mamá salía a trabajar yo me encargaba de ellos, mamá siempre me daba instrucciones para que me cuidara y cuidar de mis hermanos.
Teníamos una tía que vivía relativamente cerca y ella nos daba una vuelta cuando sabía que mamá no estaba en casa.
In my introductory post I mentioned that I was orphaned as a child, specifically when I was 10 years old and, being one of the oldest, I had to work with my mother to face that painful and sad situation, we were five siblings, the youngest was only one year old.
So, when mom would leave for work I would take care of them, mom would always instruct me to take care of myself and take care of my siblings.
We had an aunt who lived relatively close by and she would give us a ride when she knew mom wasn't home.
Lo cierto, es que, cuando mamá no estaba trabajando en la calle trabajaba en casa haciendo cualquier cosa para vender, entre esas cosas, estaban esos plátanos rebozados, qué se vendían como pan caliente.
The truth is that when my mother was not working in the street, she worked at home making anything to sell, among those things were those battered bananas, which sold like hot cakes.
Ella los preparaba, y mi hermano y yo salimos a venderlos, recuerdo que regresamos muy contentos porque se vendían todos. Solo que ella los preparaba de otra manera, picaba el plátano por la mitad le hacía una abertura donde colocaba el queso y ya luego los rebosaba, así que ,quedaban grandes solo con uno podías desayunar.
También hacia tortas, helados, turrones de coco, empanadas, todo lo que hacía se vendía porque le quedaban bien rico .
She prepared them, and my brother and I went out to sell them, I remember we came back very happy because they were all sold. Only she prepared them in a different way, she chopped the banana in half and made an opening where she put the cheese and then overflowed them, so they were big, you could only have one for breakfast.
She also made cakes, ice cream, coconut nougat, empanadas, everything she made was sold because they were delicious.
También, cosía para una señora que hacía pijamas para damas, yo miraba con detalle todo lo que ella hacía.
Le agradezco mucho que me enseñara y que nos sacara adelante a todos.
Also, I sewed for a lady who made pajamas for ladies, I watched in detail everything she made.
I am very grateful to her for teaching me and getting us all ahead.
Cuando yo tenía ya 12 años, le ofrecieron a mamá un trabajo para coser muñecas de trapo, ( armar el cuerpo) yo estaba fascinada, pues, aunque tenía responsabilidades seguía siendo una niña.
Las muñecas de muestra me encantaban.
Mi mamá me permitió ayudarla en ese trabajo, yo ya denominaba la máquina de coser, fue una experiencia muy grata poder armar aquellas muñecas. 😍😀
Hoy día me siguen gustando las manualidades y me relaja mucho sentarme a coser así sea solo para reparar una prenda.
When I was already 12 years old, my mother was offered a job to sew rag dolls, I was fascinated, because, although I had responsibilities, I was still a child.
I loved the sample dolls.
My mom allowed me to help her in that job, I already called the sewing machine, it was a very pleasant experience to be able to assemble those dolls. 😍😀
Today I still love handicrafts and it relaxes me a lot to sit down to sew, even if it's just to repair a garment.
Lo cierto, es que, en medio de aquellos tiempos de tanta necesidad, también hubieron momentos muy gratos muy agradables.
Me enseñaron a madurar y echar para adelante frente a los obstáculos con mucha honradez, me enseñaron que puedo aprender oficios diferentes para defenderme en la vida.
Hoy día, sé un poco de peluquería, manicure, pedicura, costura, repostería y cocina, entre otras 😉
The truth is that, in the midst of those times of so much need, there were also very pleasant and pleasant moments.
They taught me to mature and to face obstacles with great honesty, they taught me that I can learn different trades to defend myself in life.
Today, I know a little bit about hairdressing, manicure, pedicure, sewing, baking and cooking, among others 😉.
La vida es un reto diario que debemos superar con valentía y entusiasmo, “la vida es bella”😍
Mi oficio más reciente es estar aquí junto a ustedes en Hive blog dónde sé que voy aprender mucho.
Mi aporte es, “no dejes de aprender cada día”.
Aunque ya tengas una carrera establecida, la vida da muchas vueltas y tener un as bajo la manga va a marcar la diferencia, este mundo ha cambiado muchísimo, para muestra el vuelco que dio Venezuela. Así que, sigamos aprendido y enseñando a las nuevas generaciones😉👍🏻

My most recent job is to be here with you in Hiveblog where I know I will learn a lot.
My contribution is, "don't stop learning every day".
Even if you already have an established career, life takes many turns and having an ace up your sleeve will make a difference, this world has changed a lot, for example the turnaround in Venezuela. So, let's keep learning and teaching the new generations😉👍🏻.
