Though i am an Indian, i respect the independence
of every country. Indeed , India's role in achieving Bangladesh's independence is immense. It is true that India's full cooperation has played a great role in achieving independence . India again recognized Bangladesh as an independent country.
Today is the Victory Day of Bangladesh. So I am expressing some views about the Victory Day of Bangladesh .
The 16th December is the most significant day in the history of Bangladesh. The people of Indo -pak sub continent were about 200 years under the British rule.Before freedom , this sub-continent was decided into two parts such as India and Pakistan . Present Bangladesh was under rule of Pakistan as East pakistan.The rulers of West Pakistan oppressed the people of East Pakistan by depriving of their rights and so they protested against the oppressive rulers.Actually the rulers of West Pakistan conspired to abolish our nationalism and so they attacked us on the dark night of 25th March in 1971. As a result ,a liberation war occurred .
During the Liberation war of nine millions of heroic sons and many intellectuals lost their lives.
Millions of freedom fighters lost their lives and the war continued joto 16th December in 1971. On that day the Pakistani Army surrendered to the Allies Force and so Bangladesh became independent . From then every year we observe the 16th December as Victory Day.
The day begins with gun shots people woke up very early in the morning on that day.Many people go to the National Memorial at Savar to shows respect the martyrs . After that they offer defferent kinds of flowers of National Memorial with great respect.The national flag is hoised everywhere this day.It is a Goverment holiday.
Every people pray to God for the salvation of the Martyr's souls. I respect this victory day. I remind 16th December in my mind.
As I am bengali, i respect this victory day.
The symbolical meaning of the day is the Victory against injustice and tyranny.
We are proud of Indian that we could do anything for the independence of Bengal. It is indeed a memorable day for the Bengali nation of Bangaldesh and India.But all India's roll in this independence was immense.
This is an unforgettable day in Bengal's history.
This victory day, specially the tireless crop of all Bengalis of East Bengal.
As a result they were able to rob the sun of Independence . Above all the freedom was tasted.
