This post is another one of the week's random photos. Images I've taken over the last few days of the places I've been. This could practically become a series... the "random photos of the week". Basically, you'll see lots of pictures of flowers, cats that live on the streets and little corners of nature, which have been my favorite places to hide from everything.

In this issue, in addition to everyday scenes from the streets of my neighborhood, there are also some photos of a very special place in my region: the Jaguari River. I confess that this time it was a bit strange to be there, because the river didn't look as clean and crystal clear as it once did.

I used to live nearby and I can say that I had this river as my backyard swimming pool. Whenever it got too hot, I would run down there. That river brings back a lot of good summer memories. But this time, the water had a strange, stronger smell. And that made me frustrated, wondering who was to blame for it. The nearby towns? Some company? The state?

I don't know the answer, or if I ever will, but I've been thinking about it, about how one of the only nature spots in the region seems to be getting unpleasant to go to. I don't know if this was an occasional problem, if it's reversible, but the whole walk down to the river for me ended up with a strange vibe (and smell) in the air.

In any case, the place is still visually beautiful. And I took the photos below to remind me of that.
