An happy Thursday to you all, I hope you are having a nice day!
Today I'm here to share with you a study I painted for a very special commission. My daughter
My daugter and her fiance love David Bowie (just to know I'm a big fan of Bowie since I was a very young girl :P ) and so she asked me to paint this cat who reminds Bowie as Ziggy Stardust.
While I was painting it I had in my mind the first time I watched David Bowie in real. I was a 14 years old girl and I was in Florence, just few meters away from him (under the stage _ ) when he played in the city for The glass spider tour. It was simply fantastic, believe me!
Tis is the final result of this first study:
The detail:
I sent the image to my daughter and she liked it, so now I can "adjust" in in some detail and it will be ready for a very special event (I can't say more, because I'm pretty sure she will tell you more about this event in te next months. :P
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painted this special cat so you can see the process too:
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
