You can’t touch this.......😳
Pouring rain, and we have a bumper crop of these weeds!😲
“Be careful Silvertop, if you brush up against one of these plants it will burn for hours!!😯”
We passed the High Trail, and hiked downhill to “Bear Hollow “, and a forest of very rapidly growing Stinging Nettle!
They are already knee high, except for the occasional one that gets stepped on!😇
Moving to the Northwest over 21 years ago from the High County of Colorado, I had no experience with these potentially very painful weeds.
I remember running our gas powered string trimmer, and getting blisters on my forearms!😯
I didn’t even know why at first......
They like the darker Maple tree sections of the forest, it’s a good thing the trail is wide here, they can get six foot plus in height!
We climbed up higher, to the Douglas Fir forest, Liz and @actifit-lamb stopped to take in the view of Sumas Mountain.
I think @actifit-lamb is out of shape.....too many rainy days Lol!🤣
“We did the full long hike Liz, how about we head home for some of your decadent Amish apple cake........I think we all burned some calories today!”
Even @actifit-lamb!😇
Till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊
