Star, twinkling star, blue star, Christmas star... we are all familiar with stars.

The bright dots in the sky at night have been a motivator for creativity for poets and artists. Vincent van Gogh was mesmerized by it.

The dots, the shimmer
The silver speckled night.
In the darkness that engulfs
These dots make it bright.
So small, and seems insignificant
And the darkness rise.
But there’s something more to it
Beyond the scope of life.
The stars show that there is hope
Even in the darkest of time.
No darkness can put out
The powerful speckled light.

This Star is a hand-poured silver by Pit Bullion in 2017. I liked it for the beautiful patterns engraved in the face of the bar, as well as the cooling lines at the back of the bar. It is 2.7 troy ounces in weight of .999 fine silver. It is stamped "P" for prototype.
