It’s always tough getting back into the swing of things when you get back from vacation. But I’m really up against a pretty hard deadline and it’s going to be along hard two weeks.
Why? Because I’m actually going on vacation again in two weeks. This time down the shore for a week. I know poor me…..
I booked this job in May that I’m currently working on. My install date is August 13th & 14th. I wasn’t concerned back then but weather backed me up several times over the last couple months. So I’m well behind where I’m comfortable being.
Today was the first of many 14-16 hour days ahead of me. I’m not complaining. I’m used to working hard and long, I’m just hoping that I don’t have any curveballs thrown my way. Because it might be a big problem.
Appreciating fine things is something most people overlook. They enjoy them but have no real understanding of what it takes to make them. Which not only applies to what I do but to hand poured silver as well……
Most people assume that there is some kind of mold for these pours. That is true for maybe twenty to thirty percent of my stuff. The rest are done with impressions in delft clay. Which is a very tedious.
These pieces are from Ray Brockman a long time OG of the silvergoldstacker community. He started pouring silver under the name Toxic Bullion. I have many pieces from him as well. I have probably shown off a few before.
