Hello everyone.....
Today is Sunday, the end of the week and is suppose to be a time to relax, chill, hang, watch football, have family or friends over or even both of those.
Unfortunately none of those above are options for me at the moment......
My dad is still in the hospital with multiple issues, the main one being his kidneys. His numbers have come down dramatically from the initial ones. But still not in the range for normal.
Until his numbers get into proper range the entire treatment plan is on hold. Meaning: they won’t laser blast the stones from his kidneys until his creatine level is under a 1.4 which is the high end of normal range. He has to maintain his blood pressure over 90 for 72 consecutive hours as well.
Every time they get him up to try an doing physical therapy with him his blood pressure plummets and they won’t do it with him.
The middle of the week his legs and feet started to retain water again. Which also halted his numbers from coming down. Not enough is leaving his body to help reduce the numbers.
They have given him a diuretic, which has helped but also lowers his blood pressure. Catch 22......
Mom and I are splitting up the day spending time with him, which isn’t easy on either of us. Especially when you have job deadlines.
I’ve been working all hours of the day trying to get stuff done. Sleep has not really been an option. Plus every time I lay down my mind just races about all that’s going on.
