Afternoon everyone….
I’ve shown off a couple pieces from the Draper Mint over the years. I’ve shown off two versions of a one ounce rolo round. That’s the one that is the size of a quarter but is nearly half an inch thick.
Today I’m going to share with you are round from the Draper Mint that is even harder to come across and will have a pretty high premium if you do find one.
I checked all of my auction sites to see if any were listed or had sold in the last 90 days. Nope, none available.
The round has the same design as the rolo style round I’ve shown before with the Swiss of America but is a much larger round in diameter.

Per the allengelhard.com website, there were less then twenty thousand of these produced. That was in 1974, so how many of these have survived the smelter in the nearly 50 years since they were produced.
I rarely see these up for sale, which to me means there truly aren’t many around still. Unless a couple of collectors are sitting on a bunch of these, which is probably unlikely.
