Morning everyone....
After a signed stimulus package has been passed. We are seeing a little bit of a pullback in the metals market.
The stock market is up, the US dollar index is down .26 today. Typically when the dollar loses value, precious metals see a nice bump up.
What is causing the polar opposite of what should be happening?
There will be more money for people to spend. Which will boost the economy temporally, yet both gold and silver are down. While it’s not a big drop in price. This is still not a good look considering thee we economic boost that will be coming from the stimulus.
Silver is a commodity that is heavily used in industrial equipment. Solar panels, batteries, cars, electronics, medical instruments and devices.
If the economy is suppose to get a boost from this stimulus, why is the precious metal market down?
I’ll be checking my podcasts later, hoping for some answers.
As for this moment, here is the current screenshot from Kitco.
