Hoy voy hablarles de lo que fue mi primer empleo y la experiencias que viví durante ese período. Todo empezó luego de terminar mi 4to año de secundaria, tenía 15 años, habían empezado la vacaciones y todos los años acostumbrábamos hacer un viaje para conocer algún nuevo y hermoso lugar de mi maravilloso país, ese año iríamos a Maturin, estado Monagas, y posteriormente luego de pasar unos días, iríamos a Trujillo.

Today I’m going to talk to you about what was my first job and the experiences I had during that period. It all started after I finished my fourth year of high school, I was 15, they had started the holiday and every year we used to make a trip to see some new and beautiful place of my wonderful country, that year we would go to Maturin, Monagas state, and then after spending a few days there we would go to Trujillo.

A esa edad con lo que menos contaba era con dinero y menos para un viaje, y como todo joven de 15 años cuando viaja quería comprar cosas y así tener recuerdos del viaje, decidí aprovechar algo del tiempo que tenía y trabajar unas semanas para ganar algo de dinero, aproveche que el esposo de mi tía, (Nene) (así le decimos de cariño), tiene una empresa de carpintería y le pedí trabajo por unas semanas para reunir dinero, me dijo que estaba bien y empece a trabajar.

At that age, I had less money and less for a trip, and like every 15-year-old when traveling, I wanted to buy things and have memories of the trip, so I decided to take advantage of the time I had and work a few weeks to make some money, I took advantage of my aunt’s husband, (Nene) (so we call him honey), he has a carpentry company and I asked him for a job for a few weeks to raise money, he told me he was fine and I started working.

Al empezar a trabajar el me explica que voy hacer su ayudante con algunos trabajos pequeños de carpintería, sobre todo lijando, pintando y barnizando sillas, puertas, muebles entre otras cosas, no podía usar ninguna de las máquinas porque el me decía que eran algo peligrosas y que prefería que sólo me encargara de hacer lo que me pedía, en un comienzo era algo distraído y flojo, pero poco a poco fui aprendiendo y aunque no fue por mucho tiempo logre aprender mucho. Una de la experiencias más grandes fue la de trabajar en un barco, una lancha de pasajeros, haciéndole una remodelaciones está lacha se llama "Gran Cacique Express" o también conocido como "Cacique 4", le hicimos una remodelaciones a la primera clase de la lancha, tuve más responsabilidades pero me gustó mucho vivir esa experiencia.

When he starts to work, he explains that I am going to do his assistant with some small carpentry jobs, especially sanding, painting and varnishing chairs, doors, furniture, among other things, he could not use any of the machines because he told me that they were somewhat dangerous and that he preferred that I only take care of what he asked me to do, at first it was somewhat distracted and lazy, but little by little I was learning and although it was not for a long time I managed to learn a lot. One of the greatest experiences was working on a ship, a passenger boat, making a renovation of this lake called "Gran Cacique Express" or also known as "Cacique 4", we made a renovation to the first class of the boat, I had more responsibilities but I really enjoyed living that experience.

Luego de graduarme en secundaria fui seleccionado para entrar en una universidad pública que en su momento era muy difícil poder entrar en ella inicie finalizando el año 2016 a estudiar ingeniería mecánica, lamentablemente por circunstancias de la situación país y problemas que tuve dentro de la universidad ya que establecían un régimen militar tuve que dejar la universidad luego de haber cursado 3 semestres, la carrera me llamaba la atención, pero no me sentía totalmente a gusto, en seguida inicie en otra universidad pero seguían los problemas debido a que la situación del país cada vez se deterioraba, al final estaba perdiendo demasiado tiempo y decidí igualmente retirarme. Paso mucho tiempo hasta finales de 2018, la situación cada vez peor, me encontraba buscando maneras de poder obtener un ingreso extra y apoyar a mi familia vía Internet, incluso por mi mente paso irme del país para poder ayudar a mi familia económicamente, estábamos bastante mal, también porque en el país ningún empleo era suficiente para suplir la necesidades del hogar y sustentar en los gastos de comida, el esposo de mi tía (Nene), era la única persona que mayormente aportaba en el hogar a través de su empresa, pero igualmente no tenía tanto trabajo, aún así era el sostén de toda la familia económicamente en ese momento. Fue entonces cuando decidí apoyarlo en el trabajo y ayudar a mi familia, no era justo que sólo el trabajara por todos nosotros porque lo que ganaban mi madre y el resto de mi familia no alcanzaba para nada.

After graduating from high school, I was selected to enter a public university that at the time was very difficult to enter. I started studying mechanical engineering at the end of 2016, unfortunately due to circumstances of the country situation and problems I had within the university. that established a military regime I had to leave the university after having completed 3 semesters, the career caught my attention, but I did not feel totally comfortable, I immediately started another university but the problems continued because the situation in the country every Once it was deteriorating, in the end I was losing too much time and I also decided to retire. I spend a long time until the end of 2018, the situation was getting worse, I was looking for ways to get an extra income and support my family via the Internet, even through my mind I had to leave the country to be able to help my family financially, we were quite Wrong, also because in the country no job was enough to meet the needs of the home and support food expenses, my aunt's husband (Nene), was the only person who mostly contributed at home through his company, but equally he did not have as much work, even so he was the breadwinner of the whole family financially at that time. It was then when I decided to support him at work and help my family, it was not fair that only he worked for all of us because what my mother and the rest of my family earned was not enough at all.

Entré a trabajar con el nuevamente, justo uno de sus ayudantes se había ido del país para Brasil y decidió darme su puesto, está vez si iba a tener más responsabilidades en el trabajo, más que la última vez que trabaje con el siendo apenas un adolescente, ya era adulto tenía 19 años, fue una gran experiencia, mucho más motivadora, porque no sólo lo hacía por mi, si no también por mi familia, aprendí muchísimo, y a pesar de que al principio fue algo duro fui acostumbrándome, me empezó a gustar mucho trabajar carpintería, me di cuenta que es un arte muy valioso y que es necesario para que estéticamente nuestro hogar se vea bien, es un arte que puede aplicarse de distintas maneras, tanto en la música haciendo instrumentos, o incluso en la recreación haciendo juguetes.

Una de las experiencias más grandes de mi vida fue la de trabajar nuevamente en un barco, está vez no era una simple lancha de pasajeros, está vez fue en un Ferri, se llamaba "Guaiqueri", este era un contrato grande por los que estábamos felices sabíamos que al finalizarlo seríamos ganaríamos mucho, el siempre recibía contratos de esta naviera pero tenía mucho que no recibía uno tan grande, debíamos repararles las puertas a todos los camarotes del Ferry, igualmente en la sala de pasajeros, este iba a ser un trabajo de "aluminio", (este también es un tipo de carpintería llamada "carpintería metálica"), debíamos recuperarlas y pintarlas nuevamente, también había que reparar la sala del control de mandó y pintarla, este si iba a ser un trabajo en madera, reparar los baños, las puertas, gabinetes, cerraduras y muchas cosas, en fin era un gran trabajo, que debíamos terminar en 20 días. Empezamos a recuperar las puertas en nuestro lugar de trabajo y a vuelta de 3 días ya estaban listas para ser instaladas, los gabinetes y puertas del baño en 2 días y así hasta que en 10 días teníamos todo, sólo faltaba ir e instalarlo,por cierto yo no había ido aun a conocer el barco, había muchas ocupaciones y el día que se despego todo lo que sería reparado yo me encontraba en la carpintería trabajado en otras cosas.

One of the greatest experiences of my life was working again on a boat, this time it was not a simple passenger boat, this time it was in a Ferry, it was called "Guaiqueri", this was a large contract for which we were Happy we knew that at the end we would be earning a lot, he always received contracts from this shipping company but he had a lot that did not receive such a large one, we had to repair the doors to all the cabins of the Ferri, also in the passenger room, this was going to be a job of "aluminum", (this is also a type of carpentry called "metallic carpentry"), we had to recover them and paint them again, we also had to repair the control room and paint it, this if it was going to be a woodwork, repair the bathrooms, the doors, cabinets, locks and many things, in short it was a great job, which should be completed in 20 days. We started to recover the doors in our workplace and after 3 days they were ready to be installed, the cabinets and bathroom doors in 2 days and so until in 10 days we had everything, just needed to go and install it, by the way I had not yet gone to see the ship, there were many occupations and the day that everything that would be repaired took off I was in the carpentry working on other things.

Finalmente llega el día en el que me toco ir al barco, está vez no estaba en el mar, estaba en tierra, cuando llego al sitio no me esperaba esto, era un barco enorme en tierra, con una escalera súper larga que tenía escalones de forma redondeada, primera vez que veo una escalera con este tipo de escalones, no sabía como iba a subir, lo cual me puso muy nervioso, todos subieron y yo seguía abajo, como pude subí, dejamos arriba las herramientas y volví a bajar esta vez a subir las puertas por estas escaleras y las cosas que habían sido reparadas, no sabía como iba hacer eso, parecía a simple vista algo imposible, pero pensé, si mis compañeros de trabajo pueden, porque yo no, y decidí subir cargando una puerta muy pesada, era algo muy peligroso porque si me resbalaba o perdía el equilibrio de alguna manera lo más probable es que cayera muerto, respire hondo y subí poco a poco, cuando casi iba llegando al ultimo escalón estaba alguien para ayudarme lo cual era muy bueno porque era bastante agotador, de la misma manera, volví a bajar y continúe subiendo cosas al ver que si podía hacerlo, fue una de las experiencias más extremas de mi vida, pero también de las que más aprendizaje obtuve, luego de subir todo el resto fue mucho más sencillo, en 17 días el trabajo estaba terminado, y me sentía contento con el resultado obtenido en el que sería mi primer gran trabajo como empleado de esta empresa.

Finally the day comes when I have to go to the boat, this time I was not at sea, I was ashore, when I arrived at the site I did not expect this, it was a huge ship ashore, with a super long ladder that had steps of rounded shape, the first time I see a ladder with these types of steps, I did not know how I was going to climb, which made me very nervous, everyone went up and I was still down, as I could, I left the tools up and I went down again this time to go up the doors by these stairs and the things that had been repaired, I didn't know how I was going to do that, it seemed at first glance something impossible, but I thought, * if my coworkers can, because I don't *, and I decided to go upstairs carrying a It was a very heavy door, it was something very dangerous because if I slipped or lost my balance in any way, I would most likely fall dead, take a deep breath and go up little by little, when I was almost reaching the last step, someone was there to help me, which was very good because it was enough exhausting, in the same way, I went back down and continued to upload things to see that if I could do it, it was one of the most extreme experiences of my life, but also the one that I learned the most from, after uploading all the rest it was much Simpler, in 17 days the job was finished, and I was happy with the result obtained in what would be my first great job as an employee of this company.

Poco tiempo después hablando con (Nene) (que quiero como si fuese mi segundo padre) me pregunta si quiero continuar estudiando y le digo que si, le comento que me gustaba el área de la administración, el manejo de empresas, las finanzas y esas cosas, y me propone que me inscriba en la universidad que se encuentre la carrera que me gusta, a cambio como pago por el ultimo trabajo me pagaría mi primer semestre.

Soon after talking to (Nene) (who I want as if he were my second father) he asks me if I want to continue studying and I tell him that yes, I commented that I liked the area of administration, business management, finance and such things, and he proposes that I enroll in the university that I find the career that I like, in return as payment for the last job I would pay my first semester.

Y de esta manera también inicie mi travesía en la universidad, estudiando la carrera que me apasiona, tal vez en el siguiente post les cuente como me interese en esta carrera, porque me interese en ella y lo que tuve que pasar para estar seguro que era lo que quería en mi vida.
