Splinterlands Art Contest Week 294: Blackmoor Trickster

Created in Clip Studio Paint Pro on a Microsoft Surface Pro 7+. Here is the timelapse video:

And here is the step-by-step drawing process:

Step One: Rough draft. I use a 40 px pastel pencil to block out the rough.

Step Two: Lineart. I used a gray G-pen brush to look somewhat pencil-ish. Later I duplicated the layer and added a blurred multiply copy to make the lines less distinct, or less "comic-like"

Step Three: Color flat layer of the whole figure

Step Four: spearate color layers for brown, hair, stem and flower.

Step Five: Shading! Mostly done on a new clipped multiply layer with black and a smooth watercolor brush.

Step Six: Highlights. Create a new clipped overlay layer for reflected light.

Step Seven: I used Starry AI to generate a background, but I ended up blurring and darkening it so much that it is barely recognizable as anything but background shadows.
