I get tired of drawing superheroes on occasion and like to go back to working in charcoal. Now, this is actually virtual charcoal, because the only art supplies I have are my Surface Pro and Clip Studio Paint Pro... but it works for me. Clean up is much easier. Also, I don't accidentally scratch in mid-drawing and end up with black on the tip of my nose.
I start off with giant sized charcoal brushes then work my way down to finer and finer tips as I work. Here's the time lapse video:
