I just read a post by an author I enjoy here on Steemit, who often writes posts explaining human behaviors on Steemit or different aspects of the platform or the blockchain. These topics are often complex, but he does a good job of explaining them and I usually feel good after reading his posts, as I learn something valuable.
His post today was about Steemit and how many stopped posting during this bear market, while others have kept posting and accumulating Steem and Steem Power. He paints a picture of this bear market as “rain” and the people who are still posting as those who are “working in the rain”. He also points out that some people will return when the bear market or rain subsided and the sun or bull market returns. Those people could be called “fair weather Steemians”.
He makes an interesting point that the people who “worked in the rain” of this bear market will have learned the ins and outs of the platform and they will have built their network of supporters. These people are going to make success on the platform look easy because of what they learned about earning Steem and because of the Steem Power they have accumulated. However when “fair weather” Steemians come back to the platform they may even think that the people who worked in the rain and are now successful have an unfair advantage. I welcome them back with open arms, but they should be aware that the people who were here working during these last nine months of the bear market have earned their success. Those who worked hard and took risks deserve their success.
When the bull market returns those who labored in the rain of the bear market will most likely profit handsomely from the Steem Power they have accumulated working in the rain. Then it will look like their success is easy. But in reality it wasn’t easy. Many will just think it’s easy because they see the end product, but not the work that went into the product.
Unless your here working in the rain of this bear market; posting everyday, following, commenting, encouraging others and accumulation Steem Power and taking the risks that come with it....you might not understand .
Hardwork, resilience and persistence are the tools I employ the most...”

Success is not usually an accident and it’s not usually easy. If the bull market returns and Steem increases in value 10, 20 or 100 times, those who risk their money now and those that invest hard work now will profit. And they will deserve their success because of their hardwork and willingness to risk their own money.
