ascending wedge just broken out to the downside, nice prediction. yeah, Btc always does the opposite of what people think, but then you have the logical problem, what is the opposite of the opposite??

BTC is drying out. Very low volume. No interest by average joes to invest and if: only altcoins. To me BTC is a 1k$-candidate. Without the trading bots the market would simply be drop dead. And when Altcoins can be directly bought by fiat in a few months...better don't think about that
Bears would call it an ascending wedge like u said but its clearly a leading first wave diagonal which is bullish. In both cases it leads to a decline. If ur a bull then it will pull back a bit before continuing on the uptrend and if you are a bear then it will signal a continued downtrend. But it more closely resembles a leading first wave diagonal (wave 1) then the pull back is wave 2 and then when it starts going up again thats the beginning of wave 3. EW theory rocks. I predict we will start going back up this afternoon or evening imo. Still bullish and after this little pull back we head to 8k+. Booyahh

Uncertainty about regulation could be the fundamental factor behind this market. Take into the account that the bear market started when the futures came out, and regulation talk started pretty much right after that and continues to this day. Arguably, there are a lot of money on the sidelines, waiting to get in right after some sort of regulatory clarification.
