Varadero beaches
Varadero is the most famous beach resort in Cuba. It is therefore not surprising that the resort has four long sandy beaches. At all beaches, you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas. Moreover, there is always beach surveillance on the beaches.
The second-largest sandy beach is the very long Taíno beach (around 6 km). The beach is located northeast of the Sol beach at hotel Oasis Varadero and runs to the end of Varadero at hotel Barceló Marina Palace. The beach has a fairly gradually sloping seabed.
Several bars on the sandy beach usually belong to the hotels behind. The Sol beach is a long sandy beach (around 825 m) with a seabed that slopes fairly gradually. The beach is in front of the hotel Sol Palmeras and partly in front of hotel Meliá Varadero. The beach is bordered on either side by rocks.
At the underlying hotels, you will find various beach bars. The very long Varadero sandy beach (around 10 km) has a seabed that gradually expires. The beach is located for the entire southwestern part and approximately half of the northeastern part of Varadero.
Behind the beach, you see especially vegetation, hotels, and a few bars. More to the northeastern part of the beach are many water sports facilities and large, all-inclusive hotels directly behind the beach. The long Meliá beach (approximately 550 m) mainly consists of rock plateau (s) and sand.
The seabed ends quite quickly. The beach is in front of the Meliá Las Américas hotel and partly in front of the Meliá Varadero hotel. The beach is on a bay and is bordered on both sides by rocks. Behind the beach are many palm trees.
