Life and death are the most important moments of existence, in one we start the cycle and in the other we end it... but if we look at it in a little more detail life itself is the representation of death since our finite existence leads us to perish.

Vida y muerte son los momentos más importantes de la existencia, en uno iniciamos el ciclo y en otro lo terminamos… pero si lo observamos con un poco más de detalle la vida en sí misma es la representación de la muerte ya que nuestra existencia finita nos lleva a perecer.

Although in itself they are antagonistic moments, the birth of any life is an immediate ticket to perish in some instant... something that leads us desperately to try to overcome this idea by trying to enjoy every instant and lengthen our time in order to live a little longer.

Aunque en si misma son momentos antagónicos, el nacimiento de cualquier vida es un boleto inmediato a perecer en algún instante… cosa que nos lleva desesperadamente a tratar de sobre llevar esta idea tratando de disfrutar cada instante y alargar nuestro tiempo para poder vivir un poco más.

"Life and death" is the name given to this painting, as it represents both cycles of life in the same image. Take the most innocent and beautiful thing we can know... a small and sweet baby... and incorporate in its features elements that remind us of death such as the bones and the pale and lifeless eyes.

”Vida y muerte” es el nombre que recibe esta pintura, ya que representa a ambos ciclos de la vida en una misma imagen. Tome lo más inocente y bello que podemos conocer… un pequeño y dulce bebe… e incorpore en sus facciones elementos que nos recuerdan a la muerte como lo son los huesos y los ojos palidecidos y sin vida.

This small and innocent being that wanders between the limbo of existence and death, barely observes the only thing that will define its state in the next moments... a small spark...

Este pequeño e inocente ser que vaga entre el limbo de la existencia y la muerte, apenas observa lo únicos que definirá su estado en los próximos instantes… una pequeña chispa…

I hadn't painted in Photoshop for some time but this idea invaded my mind, I wanted to capture it and show it :) ... The process I followed was to make the drawing in physical sketch, then I passed it in Photoshop and began to make the color fill applying different shades of orange, red and brown to get that soft and smooth appearance of the skin. I worked all the colors and elements of the drawing in a single layer, something risky but very relaxing. I will leave you the images with the evolution so you can appreciate the process step by step.

Tenía algún tiempo que no pintaba en Photoshop pero esta idea invadió mi mente, quise plasmarla y mostrarla :) … El proceso que seguí fue realizar el dibujo en boceto en físico, luego lo pase en Photoshop e inicie a realizar el relleno de colores aplicando distintos tonos de naranja rojo y marrón para obtener ese aspecto suave y terso de la piel. Trabaje todos los colores y elementos del dibujo en una sola capa, algo arriesgado pero muy relajante. Les dejare las imágenes con la evolución para que aprecien el proceso paso a paso.
