Banana Spring roll or Turon, is a popular snack common in the Philippines. They sell it anywhere all over the country. Sometimes, I like my Banana spring roll with Jackfruit flesh. Adding jackfruit and banana together will result to an even sweeter and flavorful dish. An absolute delight!
When we were young, We used to have it regularly as a snack after siesta or recess time from school. My mother makes it or we buy it in the street.
Ingredients:
- Banana plantain
- Brown sugar
- Jackfruit, slices
- Spring Roll wrapper
- Oil for frying
- Water
Preparations:
- Slice the Banana plantain in vertical length about half an inch.
- Sprinkled with brown sugar.
- Place the spring roll wrapper in a diagonal shape.
- Put the banana with sugar in the middle and add the jackfruit slices on the sides.
- Roll the wrapper and fold both sides, Then roll again until done.
- Seal the end with water and it鈥檚 ready to fry.
- Enjoy!
Line with a kitchen towel to absorb excess oil.
It's best to serve whilst warm. It's crispy and crunchy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. Perfect with coffee or anytime of the day.
