I was told by my grandma that I was a lover of music since I was a kid and I still do till date. Aside from the fact that I love music, I have alway wished I could play drums. I often practice with a table and empty tin of milk and I could play better with them but I'm yet to perfect it on actual drum sets. One of my major limitations is laziness and the fact that where I could learn is not available. I've missed the chance twice to learn when I was in school and after school, there's always one reason to hinder my commitment.
I started the lesson, paid for it, and after two or three practices I'm often discouraged to continue. It wasn't as easy as I thought , even though I believe drums are easier than the other instruments. I've tried the keyboard once and my fingers were my major issue, I feel they're stiff and couldn't move flexibly and I'm still facing a similar issue with the drums- someone needs to hammer my fingers to be able to move freely. Haha. But I'll be extremely happy if I finally could play drums perfectly with no struggles.
Why I prefer Drums
Aside from the fact that I believe drums are easier to learn, naturally I have a thing for drums. Something tells me I was destined for it and I only need to put more effort to gain perfection . I've seen people who are professional in drumming plays and I love their energy and how well they play. Earlier this year I bargain with one of the professionals to teach me and we agreed for #10,000 for three months. Unfortunately he got engaged and it was no longer possible. Here I am, with my little knowledge, wishing I could learn more. I know I will, before the year runs out but need to put in more determination and zeal this time.
