También hago memoria de las tantas veces en que le decíamos a mi mamá que no queríamos vestirnos igual, que no necesitábamos ser tan idénticas. Esas crisis en la adolescencia donde, en nuestro caso particular, nos gustaba distinguirnos entre nosotras. Teníamos nuestro sello: yo ropas más oscuras y ella más claras por lo general; si yo escogía amarillo, ella escogía verde; me cambié el tono de mi cabello a rubio y ella se lo cambió a rojo.
Y la verdad es que aún con esos cambios seguían sin diferenciarnos mucho jajaja. Simplemente era algo inevitable de notar. A veces hacíamos uso de ese fenotipo tan idéntico nuestro y confundíamos a varias personas, principalmente en la familia. Nos divertía hacerlo y gastarles bromas así.
Ella es mi única hermana, mi mejor amiga, mi gemela, la persona que más se parece a mí en este mundo. Y no solo es el aspecto, se trata de muchos gustos: de canciones, de comidas, de películas que podemos sentarnos a repetir una y otra vez.
Aunque extraño a mi doble de acción favorita —como también ella me llama a veces a mí—, me siento feliz de que me haya ganado la lotería familiar con una hermana que es amiga, consejera, compañera de travesuras, que sabe escuchar y hasta guardar un secreto o consolar en días malos.

Those teenage crises where, in our particular case, we liked to tell ourselves apart. We had our own mark: I wore darker clothes and she wore lighter ones in general; if I chose yellow, she chose green; I changed my hair to blonde and she changed hers to red.
And the truth is that even with those changes, people still couldn't tell us apart much hahaha. It was simply something impossible not to notice. Sometimes we made use of that identical phenotype of ours and confused several people, mainly in the family. We had fun doing it and playing pranks on them like that.
She is my only sister, my best friend, my twin, the person who looks most like me in this world. And it's not just appearance: it's about so many tastes, songs, foods, movies that we can sit down and repeat over and over again.
Although I miss my favorite stunt double —as she sometimes calls me too—, I feel happy that I won the family lottery with a sister who is a friend, counselor, partner in mischief, who knows how to listen and even keep a secret or comfort me on bad days.
