Hello hivers, Hope y'all are doing well and safe! I'm back with some content for my makeup power community. Hope y'all like it! For today's look I'll be doing this butterfly inspired makeup look.
This look has been going around for a while. I'm pretty sure most of y'all might have seen something similar cause it's very trendy right now. Anyways talking about the look, I wanted to try this for a while and it's definetely not as simple as it looks. It might look small but it took me an hour and an half to complete the whole look (includes me capturing it for this blog). The minor details and letting it dry takes most of the time.
Products required for this look:
- primer
- foundation
- concealer
- blender
- eye shadow palette
- makeup brushes
- eye liner
- blush
- mascara
10.eyebrow pencil
11.highlighter
12.lipliner
13.lipstick
14.lip gloss
15.setting spray
Step by step process:
First step has always got to be priming your face. You can use whatever primer you prefer. Whenever I'm doing something creative or glam I start with the eye look because then it's just easier to remove the fallout. I put concealer on the eyelid as a base for the look. Can also go for eye primer. I blended it out evenly using a blender. These are the shades I'll be using on my eye.
I'm taking the lightest shade of green using an eyeshadow blender brush and using it as a transition shade. I prefer using light shades first and then goin in with the dark colors.
Then I'm taking the dark shade of green and applying it on the outer corner and end of the crease of the eye. This helps it to give an ombre kinda look. There will be fall outs which you can clean up later.
Next I'm placing green shimmer shade on the inner corner of the eye using a flat brush. For better pigmentation of the shades I use the setting spray on the eye makeup brush. I'm also using a champagne highlighter on the innermost corner. I'll do samething below the waterline. I'm also highlighting the brow bones using the same highlighter.
I'm concealing the center of my face . I know I might look funny here but just wait for the end results. I'm blending it around the eyebrows too. Next I'm filling my eyebrows using an eyebrow pencil, making it darker towards the outer corner.
I drew a graphic liner and connected the lines inside.
I'm also drawing these designs below the eye make it look more effective.

Once I'm done with the eyes, I'll be doing rest of my face. It's the usual routine but in a different order for this one. Starting with the foundation all over, don;+'t apply it over the concealer. blending it well. Applying blush on the cheek and the nose. Highlighting the high points using thee same highlighter. Applying mascara or false lashes. Lining the lips first, fill it with a lipstick and top it off with a lip gloss. The final step is using setting spray . And then obviously click some pictures for the hive.😋.
TADAAAA.... lowkey proud of myself for this. I'm still a learner, Hope y'all liked the look, do let me know in the comments.
