I was not thrilled when I found out that @Actifit was introducing a new AFITX requirement of 10,000 tokens in order to continue using the AFITX to STEEM conversion within their platform. Before discovering Actifit, I wasn't accomplishing much of anything on Steemit. But, once I started using Actifit I became hooked and it has become my primary source of activity on the Steem blockchain now. Nearly all of the Steem, SBD, and SP I have is from being a dedicated daily Actifit user.
When Actifit introduced the new minimum, I didn't have sufficient AFITX tokens to continue to convert 20 AFITX to a larger upvote equal to about $1. I'd also been diligently converting the Steem I earned into SteemPower so I didn't have much liquid currency. I expressed my frustration and disappointment with the Actifit decision and wasn't sure what I was going to do. Prior to this change, I had been eyeing making a purchase of Steem at around 18 cents each in order to bump myself up to Dolphin status, but have waited on that now.
Ultimately, I was able to do some arbitraging with my AFIT tokens on Steem-Engine and earned enough profit to buy the 3500 AFITX I needed to reach 10,000 and continue receiving the AFITX to Steem conversion upvotes. I'm undecided on investing fiat into Steem and will wait to see how the HF21 things play out, but Actifit is still the primary reason I continue to use this platform and look forward to finding more to keep things interesting around here.
Onward!
