Eid al-Adha means sacrificing for the satisfaction of Allah.

This cow has been purchased for the sacrifice during Eid al-Adha. The hump on its shoulder is quite large and well-formed, which gives it a regal and powerful appearance. Typically, the hump of a healthy bull from a native or improved breed is magnificent and large. It is a joyful and virtuous task to bring such a beautiful and healthy animal home for sacrifice according to one's preference. In Islam and among the Muslim community, the sacrificial animal holds great significance and importance. The sacrifice is essentially a symbol of deep love and sacrifice for Allah.

The main purpose is to attain Allah's satisfaction by following the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S.) and his great sacrifice. Offering a healthy and beautiful animal in the name of Allah is an excellent act of worship. The biggest social aspect of sacrifice is that it provides support to the poor and needy in society. A large portion of the meat from the animal is distributed among the poor, suffering, and relatives, which fosters a sense of brotherhood and equality in society. The core message of animal sacrifice is to sacrifice one's inner pride, jealousy, greed, and all kinds of bad qualities or the "inner beast." It teaches people to be humble and compassionate.
