Dreams stolen by schools.
I am in education and get so angry when I see what schools do. Last week my boy of nine did not make the under 9A or B team so now at practice he has to sit under the trees and when there is a game he has to sit next to the field. He was broken and as a mom, I am so angry that my child needs to give up on one of his dreams at nine because they just focus on winning that is why the school only have two teams and the rest mean nothing.
The school I am talking about is not small it is one of the biggest schools in the area. I personally think we are killing our kids and stealing their joy. They always need to be the best or there is no place for them. As a teacher and a mon, I don't like what is happening. Children do not all develop at the same speed some needs more time than others and some just need to be able to dream a little longer.
Let kids be kids a little longer.
