And so, the day has come; the summer night shifts at my job have started.
I work in a campground that includes a hotel with the same name as the campground.
They are about 150 meters apart.
Since I am the night guard, I am alone from ten in the evening until six in the morning every day without a day off, and this will continue until November 1st.
It's tough, but when you have to do it, you somehow manage to endure.
Today, the heat and humidity are so intense that, although I have the air conditioning on, I need to keep the doors open and the light on. I only have a small light on in the office where we make coffee and keep various papers and documents because there are so many mosquitoes that even repellent doesn't help.
Of course, there's also the light outside the cabin at the entrance to the campground, where I am.
Thank God I have fast internet and a computer, so I can watch a few movies until 6 in the morning.
After each movie, I take a walk around the entire campground down to the sea, as I have to.
Since I love watching Christmas movies even in the summer, I’ve now put on the classic Home Alone 2 to bring back memories of cooler days and help me forget this heat and humidity.
I’ve also started brewing coffee because it's only 1:20 in the morning, and I need to stay awake until 6 a.m.
After the coffee, I'll make a round of the campground and then continue with the movie.
I wish you a pleasant night, dear friends.
