Beautiful Sunday
We just got home after a whole day spent outdoors, enjoying ourselves. The day was scorching, with temperatures reaching 27 degrees Celsius outside.
It was my wife, our younger son, and me; my eldest son is away at college in Zagreb and couldn't join us.
Instead, our wedding godparents from Zagreb and their two children came to visit, so we decided to take them to a place called Skradin, which is a 25-minute drive from my house.
There's a beautiful park there with various amenities for both children and adults. They have zip lines, swings, seesaws, exercise equipment for adults, including bars and such.
It's all located on a large area covered in grass, mostly shaded by big oak and pine trees.
It was wonderful to sit on a bench in the shade, sipping coffee and watching the children play and run around the playground.
Of course, there are also various coffee bars and boats that depart every half hour for tours of the Krka National Park waterfalls, and they were packed with people.
On our way back home, we stopped at Skradin Bridge and took some photos of the view of Skradin from a distance, admiring the beauty of the bridge and the panorama.
There's also a statue of Our Lady by the roadside, where tourists leave coins as offerings after saying a prayer.
Once we got home, my godparent and I decided to make a barbecue for everyone, so we grilled some meat on the electric grill and enjoyed ourselves.
All in all, the day was well planned and fully utilized from the early morning.
