Good Day Guys

Let me share with you how my colleague cooked Bakareta(Beef Caldereta) for us. I was assisting him when he prepared this. Caldereta is a type of beef stew made with beef tomato sauce and liver spread.

Ingredients

Here are the ingredients that he used

  • Beef(Cubed)

  • Liver Spread, Tomato Paste, Caldereta Mix, and Coconut Milk Powder.
  • Onions and garlic
  • Margarine/ Butter

I didn't put the exact quantity of ingredients because he was just adjusting it by taste

How it was cooked

The first thing that he did was boil the beef inside the pressure cooker to tenderize it.

While it was boiling, the vegetables were being prepared and chopped into pieces.

He then told me to mix the caldereta mix and the coconut milk powder until there were clumps on it.

He also told me to always be careful when removing the lid when using a pressure cooker. The first thing that should always do is to release the steam until there is no sound already. Once that's don't you could remove the lid already.

He added the chopped onions and garlic.

He added the mix and stirred it around.

He added the potatoes and carrots and liver spread and he let it boil for a bit

He then added the tomato paste and some margarine

Lastly, he put some bell pepper because this is the fastest thing to cook.

This was the finished product. It was really fragrant while it was being cooked. It was really fun learning from him how to cook it also.

This meal will always be better when it's served with rice. All of my colleagues loved the taste of it because it was delicious. This will always my favorite dish whenever he cooks.
