My day at the worksite didn't begin as smoothly as expected. Just before we were supposed to leave, the rain started pouring, forcing us to delay our journey. We waited for some time, hoping the weather would improve, but unfortunately, the rain refused to let up. With no other choice left, we decided to head to the site despite the unpleasant weather.
As you can probably imagine, arriving at the site in the rain wasn't a pleasant experience. My clothes were completely soaked, and I had to change before settling down to work. Once I was ready, I carried the paint bucket to the working area and began preparing the walls. I used a scraper to remove unwanted marks and rough spots, then picked up a broom to sweep away the dust and make the surface ready for painting.
After completing the preparation, I finally began applying the yellow paint. However, while I was busy working, the homeowner showed up to check on our progress. He complimented my effort and seemed pleased with the quality of the work, but there was one little problem: he wasn't comfortable with the yellow colour we had started using. He preferred pink instead!
That unexpected request meant I had to stop painting immediately. Since my boss wasn't present, I quickly reached out to him on the phone and explained what had happened. He asked me to hand the phone to the homeowner, and the two of them had a brief conversation. Afterward, my boss instructed me to put the painting on hold and informed me that he would bring the pink paint shortly.
Rather than waste the waiting time, I decided to make myself useful by preparing some filler to repair the tiny holes in the wall. I carefully filled the damaged spots, making the surface look smoother and more presentable. Once I was done, I took a short break and wondered how best to keep myself occupied. Eventually, I picked up my phone and started playing Dream League Soccer to pass the time,Thankfully, my gaming session didn't last too long before my boss arrived with the pink paint. We got back to work, and after spending some time painting together, he eventually had to leave. My colleague was also absent, which meant I had to handle the remaining work on my own.
Even though working alone wasn't the easiest thing, I continued putting in my effort until the evening. As the daylight gradually faded, it became increasingly difficult to see the walls clearly. Knowing that I couldn't continue properly in the darkness, I decided to call it a day. I cleaned my painting tools, changed into my clothes, secured the doors, and carried the keys to the client's residence.
