How to make a living as a photographer
This is a topic that is very dear and close to my heart. And as much as I would like to have a guide or a secret to tell you. I don't.
Now it is probably not more difficult than in the past. The biggest difference is that there are way more many ways to make it than before. That sounds like a great thing.
But the problem, is that way more people want to actually follow their dreams and passions than before.
Since in the past was so complicated make a career in the area, many people would not even consider it. They would choose another career and just do photography as a hobbie.
In this Social Media, online Era, everything is different. There are so many more ways to create income with your art. But other factor that is very important. Is that because taking photos is way more "normal" than in the past. Many people and a huge part of the audience doesn't give enough value to artists and don't understand how difficult it is to keep works coming out.
So if you want to make a living as a photographer, my only advice is for you to learn what's best for you and just do it. Try everything and anything that you enjoy, until you find what will work for you professionally, then jump all in and don't let the opportunity go.
Build a name and a brand for yourself. That's also very important.
