Friday Night - Before the Long 4th Weekend.
I got a chance to go out kayaking and go fishing for a few hours on Friday night before the weekend started. It was hot, but the weather was calm and I managed to catch a few fish. Went to a small local lake, that is really backwater to the river.

I only needed the glove because it was a strange hook set gave me nowhere to grab the risk of getting hooked.

I was surprised. I was thinking it might be a perch but happy to get good size crappie out of there.
Well, that was it for the last trip. It was really nice to get out on the water for a few hours, and have the lake to my self. It was quite and peaceful. I will say I have really loved getting out in the Kayak more this year. I have been having some pretty good luck this year, and hope to get out a lot more before the snow flies.
