Some people say “I can’t be successful like him or her, because they are unique, they are talented and they have something i don't have” That’s a whole bunch of crap. It’s proven that everything can be learned according to the 4 stages of learning. Let’s take an example of the 4 stages of learning and keep the image above here next to it to visualise what I am talking about.
Stage 1 to stage 4 in a nutshell
Let’s say its your first time tying your shoes and so you automatically start in stage 1 ‘unconscious incompetence’. You know what shoes are for and your parent’s have always tied the shoes for you, but you have no idea how they perform that magic themselves.
Once you start to see what your parents are doing you want to try it yourself and you continue on stage 2 ‘conscious competence’. So you now know that you have to tie your shoes to keep them attached to your feet, but you have trouble making the loop. You just keep failing and it’s very difficult for you to make it work.
Then you enter stage 3 the 'conscious competence' stage. You now know how you have to tie your shoes, but it requires a 100% focus to actually do it.
Once you are able to tie your shoes with a 100% focus and have done it multiple times you start to tie your shoes without thinking and it just goes automatic. This stage is called the ‘unconscious competence’ and shows you have actually learned to tie your shoes and can do it at any time you want. This way you can learn anything you want!
I believe we humans are miracles and that we are capeable of much more than we think we can. This makes the difference between someone with a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. What do you have :).
