We take fashion for granted. We just get dressed in something comfortable, functional or trendy, or as per occasion or expectation. But clothes speak of a lot more than us!
Your attire can convey confidence, personality, work ethic, class, ethnic group, mood, age, and how you want others to see you.
The question now arises, can just wearing different clothes make us a different person or change it all takes mind to do so? Clothing is after all nothing but just how we express our feelings. One shows an ethnic culture, poise and maturity while another implies cool urban living, simplicity and self reserve.
They come face to face with two human profile one on side represents what people wear the other one filled with thoughts tangled inside, to raise this question whether we define ourselves through clothing or our thoughts.
Yes clothing plays an important role in determining the way we are perceived. Wearing a suit we assume a person is knowledgeable. A ethnic costume shows us the ethnic roots of the person.
Getting dressed for success is a popular phrase. When clothes match your level of confidence then we even stand different and carry differently. Thus clothing can impact on mind.
However there is limitation as well.
We can’t sustain the thought of being confident forever based on the outfit! Fancy dressed may show that we can afford designer attire but it does not mean he possesses intelligence, courage, kindness and dicipline, or that he/she can endure difficulty! People with exactly same clothes may still differ drastically. Therefore it can be concluded that mindset matters more and it can overcome all the barriers.
Let people wear whatever they want to wear but a positive mindset, one that is always at ease and calm with whatever circumstance that may come forth that would make a change!
The clothing and mindset combined is maybe the solution; one that displays the feeling and other that determines a lasting impression Clothing can make a good first impression but the mindset will determine and leave the ever lasting memory, therefore dress yourself up right, make up your mindset for success .
