I wish I could say I’ve been working too hard on my music but that’s just not the case.
I got close to the finish line and fell over and now I’m pulling a George R R R R Martin. When Winds of Winter!?!
I started practicing for the two shows I have coming up. I practiced some Mali songs with my friend. I finished Final Fantasy 7 rebirth. I slept.
I did make a demo of the first half of the last song, just to find a general sound for the EQ and effects.
Tomorrow I will tryyyy to finish the second half and see if this is the recording that’s going on the album or if I’m going to end up recording it again.
I did start writing two new songs and came up with a wild idea for a next release (or next 4 releases actually. Think of it as a collection of spin off EPs. I’ll say more when the album is released.
I am still brooding over whether or not to release the album as it is or to send it out to someone to mix it more professionally. I’m also debating whether or not to do the brass band song before the album comes out and stick it on there or to make a brass band version after the album is release and share it as a single.
I do not know what to do.
If I keep it all DIY I could probably make it by the November 1 deadline still. If not I think it’s looking more like December or later. I think I may have to just release it and then do a remaster one day.
I think I need a release. After it’s out I’ll be able to focus on other things and that’ll feel good and give me more energy and things will start flowing again.
The sooner the better, I think.
