Exactly this day 2 years ago, Calluna put up this amazing song on her blog. It was good times, and life hadn't taken away the time and motivation to write from me...
4 days later, and I couldn't get the song off my head. Eventually I had to do one of mine, of course, it came in the form of poetry....

She was his dream when he was young,
He loved her, long before his love was formed;
She turned his head, twisted his mind,
She was, but all his heart could find...
At twelve, he spoke his first words to her..
Big brave words, a step too far;
He got turned down, but he didn't bend,
She was his, she just had to be at the end...
And he, in love, he stayed in that place
Of flutters, of twinkles, for one pretty face,
Yeah he, for love, he stayed in that place
Had the hots for a girl, and he didn't hesitate...
When he was seventeen, he tried again,
This time more confident, his lines insane..
He spoke of dreams, of love, of aims,
He woulda convinced me, but she chose the same..
Now a teenager, little man was hurt,
For he hadn't seen it coming, his confidence was shot..
And though once is beaten, and twice is shy,
This little man vowed, that he'd never cease to try...
