I think it's high time to end my New Year's story, which I don't even know what it was, with this post. Most of the time I was more at home, vegetating, not feeling my best, some because of illness, some because of all these strong expectations around me that everything would be better in the New Year, that we would be happy and content and I don't know what else.
It rained heavily all week, stopped in the morning and a cold wind started blowing, we all expected it to turn to snow, but it hasn't (yet).
It's quite warm for the beginning of January, five degrees Celsius at five o'clock in the afternoon, it started to get dark and I went for a walk around the city to get a bit of a breeze.
There is nothing wrong with these New Year's resolutions and expectations, but when I see the same wishes, plans, and visions for years and nothing changes, I don't care.
Years go by, the world globally remains the same, conflicts everywhere, decision-makers have their agendas, and there is no positive breakthrough from anywhere.
I walk down the street and look around, the festive lights are still on, and it's been a week since the New Year, by the way, electricity has gone up three times in our country, but apparently, that's not a problem for anyone, because no one is bothered. Yes, today is supposedly the last Christian holiday, the Three Kings Day, and after that they will start cleaning up...
I keep going, it's not too cold, although it's blowing.
Today we had a small family celebration, my eldest son turned 20, and my mother and my wife's parents came. I remember his birth like it was yesterday, and it has been twenty years. I certainly wish him well as he makes his way through life in a world that is completely different from when he was born.
I don't know, I have the feeling that the world was a better place back then, I had more aspirations and goals, but now I don't have them anymore. But did I achieve everything I wanted? Ah, no, not at all, it's just that my ambitions have diminished over the years and I'm only doing things along the lines of less resistance, that is, what I'm good at, and everything else passes me by.
Well, this bicycle that lights up is supposedly the only interesting point on today's walk.

Maybe there will be more.
Children's New Year's playroom, Sunday in the evening, and no one. All empty. Even the children have had enough of it. Or is it just the parents? Who would know?

Well, things are certainly going to change for me this year. I have reached full retirement age and sometime at the end of April, I'll have to think carefully about what I'll do next.
In any case, hanging out here on Hive and participating in this chain is still an option. 😎
And of course, I wish you all to fulfill all the wishes and plans you have set for yourselves. If not this year, then next! 😜
Thank you for your attention!
And here's something else:
I post everything in the @ecency front-end.
So I invite you to support Ecency Development And Maintenance #4 Proposal because I would like to keep using it (and many others, too).
Thank you in advance.
