Ana Pupedan is a local band from Pivka, Slovenia, that has been actively performing since 1992. During this time, they have released six albums. Their style is a unique, energetic fusion of rock, punk, reggae, jazz, blues, and ethno music, featuring lucid, socially critical, and humorous lyrics that are often sung in the authentic Pivka dialect.
In the local dialect, their name means “one hour in the afternoon.”
I’ve known them since their early days and have been to many of their concerts. They’re very energetic on stage and always give it their all.
The song “Sonce” (Sun) is from their first album, Anje pupedanjü, released in 1994. They were a bit inspired by Hendrix in this song :)
