Recently I was stuck in Copenhagen for five days on my way home from Latvia, due to all of the snowfall in Scotland. I often visit Copenhagen throughout the year and will usually spend a few days visiting my friend, Bina, who studies there. There are much less expensive places to be stuck, so I was fortunate that I had a place to sleep and didn’t have to fork out for an unplanned hotel.
Amalienborg was completed in 1760 and is the winter residence of the Danish Royal Family. It comprises four grand palaces situated around a square and features the greatest works of Danish Rococo architecture. Located to the west of Amalienborg Palace, and in the centre of the video, Frederik's Church or 'The Marble Church' is another classic example of rococo architecture and was completed in 1894.
