We have made it to the big aqueduct’Pontcysyllte’ and it’s bloody amazing!
I am not completely au fait with heights so tomorrow, crossing it on Badger the Narrowboat is going to be quite scary for me. You may even hear my knees shaking from wherever you are on the planet.
We went for a bit of a scout on foot today to have a look and see if there was anything we should prepare for. It has been quite windy and there are still some very strong gusts so I want to remove things from the roof that could blow away and secure things properly on the stern deck before we make our way over. I am quite excited.
It will be my birthday as well so I kind of wanted to cross over it on my birthday, make a big day of it. Scary water bridge crossing, great views, a bit of adventure and then beer!
I also want to charge up all the camera to be sure we get a lot of footage as we cross over. We will hopefully be doing it a few times while we are up here. But there’s only ever one first time!
