Hello all you coffee loving Hivers!
This Morning we were up very early so we could try and get in to have a PCR Covid Swab test without a scheduled appointment. This meant no time for coffee. WHAT!!! That's right. up and out of the hotel and in a taxi. We arrived before opening and ignored the security guards warnings about having no appointment.
When the staff arrived I explained the situation and they said they didn't have a lot of bookings so no problemo 😁. In and out before 8am. I thanked the staff profusely for being so accommodating as our flight is in Wednesday. If someone is going to shove stuff up your nose and take money off you then it's a lot better if they are nice about it.
Then we went in search of coffee.
Now we have passed this cute little coffee shop on many occasion when in the city but always while in a taxi headed elsewhere so we decided to go have a look see.

Lots of goodies on display and a few students were in the corner studying. I like it when you find someones hang out.
Hmmm cheesecake. Always a big test of my will power but we are headed for a meet up after this with a friend to say goodbye and breakfast will be on offer. I need to be strong to resist.
So rocket fuel it is. Black freshly made coffee. Delicious. I had 2 cups as they were a little dinky. Nice but very small. Ah well there will be more at the next destination and it was quite nice to finally sample the atmosphere in this little place before we leave the Philippines.
So far the morning has been successful. Two days away from flying so tomorrow I will need to find a different coffee place to sample before leaving. I am sure I'll find something, until then....
