Hail to the Hive!

As we did a quick oit stop at the post office I noticed these lads converting a shipping container next to the larking lot and jumped out the car to be nosy while my father in law was sorting out his mail.

I had a quick chat with the guys and asked if it was ok to take a few photos, as I love to see creative ways of using shipping containers, and I mentioned I knew a guy in the Philippines who had made a craft brewery out of shipping containers.

They were really cool and full of good humour and told me to go ahead and take as many as I wanted.

Interestingly they had split the container length ways and parted it and were in the process of building a roof from one split section to the other.

I said to the lads my friend in the Philippines had done something similar except he had built a roof over 2 containers that sat parallel to each other.

I think I may revisit this site in a few weeks before we leave to see how it develops. i do love things made from shipping containers. I鈥檓 not exactly sure why I do but I guess I like the innovation of it all.

So I鈥檒l be back to check on their progress.
