Between the Wall and the Rocks / #monomad challenge / [ING/ESP]

Greetings, Hivers.
Swimming at Havana鈥檚 Malec贸n is prohibited and dangerous. The sea can go from completely calm to rough in a matter of minutes, and anyone can end up injured against the sharp rocks of the reef.
Historically, people living around the Malec贸n have always gone swimming there. In the past, there were even bathing areas installed along this stretch of the coast. But the reality is that it remains a dangerous place, and we constantly hear about people being injured or drowning at the Malec贸n.
This year, however, the number of swimmers has been extraordinary. The continuous power outages and the lack of fuel to travel to the beaches east or west of Havana have made the Malec贸n a more than attractive option.
We see people of all ages, but young people and children are by far the most daring. They jump from the wall several meters above the water, landing in a small pool-like area while narrowly avoiding the rocks sticking out of the sea.
A frightening spectacle, but one that seems to be incredibly fun for them.

Ba帽arse en el Malec贸n de La Habana est谩 prohibido y es peligroso. El mar puede pasar de estar completamente calmo a ponerse bravo en cuesti贸n de minutos, y cualquiera puede terminar herido contra las rocas filosas del arrecife.
Hist贸ricamente, los vecinos del Malec贸n han ido a ba帽arse all铆. Incluso, en 茅pocas pasadas, llegaron a instalarse balnearios en esta zona. Pero la realidad es que sigue siendo un lugar peligroso, y a cada rato escuchamos de personas heridas o ahogadas en el Malec贸n.
Este a帽o, sin embargo, la asistencia de ba帽istas ha sido extraordinaria. Los continuos cortes de electricidad y la falta de combustible para trasladarse hasta las playas del este o del oeste han convertido al Malec贸n en una opci贸n m谩s que atractiva.
Vemos personas de todas las edades, pero principalmente los j贸venes y los ni帽os son los m谩s intr茅pidos. Se lanzan desde el muro y caen al agua desde varios metros de altura, directamente en una peque帽a poceta, esquivando por muy poco las rocas que sobresalen del mar.
Un espect谩culo escalofriante, pero que para ellos parece ser tambi茅n tremendamente divertido.
