It has been ages since I have done one of these, thought since I am returning to posting once a day it is only right to start throwing some 5-minute freewrites in the mix again.
Oh, wow, another fun day for me to go and experience, explore and enjoy myself! Oh, look there is mom and dad! I love them, they always make me smile! Seems we are going out again today. It is so chilly in the mornings, but I don't mind. I like the colors. So many colors. Oh, here is mom again... And dad again! So many moms and dads when we go out. I like saying mom and dad whenever I see them. Ah well, guess they were not sticking around for a chat. Guess I will chat to the other moms and dads we see on our little brisk morning adventure.
Where are we going today? I do not know these colors at all, but the smell is kind of familiar. The place where they sometimes make me ouch. Not this time though. This time I only see white, oh so many white. But then after some time, they are touching my face and my eyes a lot. What on earth are they doing. Guess this is a new game, so I will just play along. Ouch! This is no game! What is this? Whaaaa... All the colors... They are... They are not mixed anymore. They are alive. They are sharp. Mom? Dad? Wow... I can finally see your face. I can finally see, your brown eyes.
This piece might make no sense when you read it, so I would like to shed a little light on it. It is something that I have been thinking about a lot and after seeing so many videos and gifs about it my thoughts immediately went to it after the 5-minute timer started.
Babies with extremely poor eyesight. Once they put on their first pair of glasses and can finally see something more than a blur. The joy on their faces. The joy of finally being able to distinguish mom and dad from other people and not just calling everyone mom and dad. The fact of seeing brown eyes for the first time. It hits you right in the feels...
