It has been three years since I first noticed this funny looking restaurant in the Spokane Valley. Ten days ago I was in the vicinity at lunchtime, so decided it was time to stop in and check it out.
The decor was very much barn-and-cow themed. The interior walls in one part of the dining area had a whitewashed, shabby chic look to them.
The other section of the dining area had more of a finished siding appearance. The clock is reminiscent of an old-fashioned windmill.
Taking pictures of framed photos without getting lots of glare and reflection is a challenge! These old photos show this building when it was a gas station and when it was a train depot. long ago. The first photo, with the signs advertising Hot Lunches, Film and Shells may not be the same building. I couldn't really tell.
The logo on the menu is certainly eye-catching!
"So, how was the food?" I hear you ask. It was delicious! The lunch menu was rather limited, so I had the avocado chicken salad, and it was quite filling. There was only one other occupied table at the time, so service was swift. To my amusement, when an order was ready in the kitchen, the server was notified by a moo.
I thought the prices were a little high, but it was a fun place to go, just for a treat. I would like to try breakfast there some day.
