After two months being on Steemit, I’m finally getting around to the INTRODUCEYOURSELF story. For some reason, I find the INTRODUCEYOURSELF post daunting because I’m not sure what to say.
My name is Sal and I live in Canada, just north of Toronto to be precise. Summers are hot, fall is colourful and lovey, winters are cold and spring is, well, cool and wet.
Let me first say how I found Steemit. I was listening to the Corbett Report and James was talking about the death of YouTube and in the same video, listed alternative sites that aren’t censored and controlled. James did mention the potential to get paid for posting on Steemit and I must confess, it peaked my interest and I came over to check it out. Also, I’m a huge believer in freedom, and decentralization. We’re waking up, and taking back our currency is a good beginning.
I have several interests; blogging, collecting vinyl records, creating YouTube videos, drinking coffee, video games, and social media, just to name a few.
I own and maintain a couple of websites (when I have time and ideas) www.salciampa.com; my personal site with posts on men’s health, nutrition and reciepies. The second site is www.thetechloft.com, my tech content site with posts on using Kodi, reviews, Windows/Mac content…a little bit of everything.
My YouTube channel is the most active site out of all the platforms I use. My YouTube channel is called The Tech Loft and there you’ll find just about 300 videos on STUFF. I do unboxings, reviews, Let’s Play videos (on current gen and retro consoles), I TRY to do funny videos but those require a lot of time to sit, write and plan. I like creating content on YouTube, building a fan base is challenging for me because I’m not focused on a single niche and one day I’ll get a new subscriber and by the evening, I’ve lost 5 subscribers. Ugh..the struggles of a YouTuber LOL!
Let me tell you a little about my vinyl collection. I began collecting music on vinyl in 2014, my collection is small but growing. My collection is mostly made up of reissues, which are pressed on heavier 180 gram vinyl, I personally prefer the reissues due to seemly more durable production. But do I know, I’m still new at this vinyl game. I hope to expend my YouTube content into vinyl related videos, I just need to to prep my material.
There are a few things that I wish I could do or had a little bit time to do and learn; like photography…learning to code (I really wish I knew how to code, then maybe I could get a better job)…but I just like to get out more to be more creative.
