During the winter break 06/07, my roomie Javier (Ecuadorian) and I (German) took the train from Salem, Oregon to San Diego, walked over the border to Mexico and straight into the craziest backpack trip I've ever made...
First, we met with some other international students, Pierre (French) and Hiroko (Japanse), but then Javier and I went on on our own because he wanted to see as much of Baja California as we could. And he had sworn to himself to never spent more than ten dollars per night (!) on a hotel room... On this picture, however, we are still laughing...
