Today's post is one of the most unique cities in Germany. Nördlingen in the Nördlinger Ries, a 25 km wide crater, formed 14 million years ago. The city is laid out in a circle and surrounded by a completely preserved city wall ring. The town's houses and monuments date from the late 13th century.
Eine der wohl einmaligen Städte in Deutschland ist mein heutiger Post. Nördlingen im Nördlinger Ries, einem 25 km großen Krater, entstanden vor 14 Millionen Jahren. Die Stadt ist kreisförmig angelegt und mit einem völlig erhaltenen Stadtmauerring umgeben. Die Häuser und Baudenkmäler der Stadt sind ab dem späten 13. Jahrhundert datiert.

I want to let you participate in the image of the city through my camera and deliver a large number of photos. A whole day should be planned for a visit, the crater museum alone is worth a trip. But I will describe that separately in one of the following articles. It starts with entering the city through one of the five gates.

Für einen Besuch sollte schon ein ganzer Tag eingerechnet werden, allein das Kratermuseum ist schon eine Reise wert. Das werde ich aber seperat in einem der folgenden Artikel beschreiben. Los gehts mit dem Eintritt in die Stadt durch eines der fünf Tore.

Large functional buildings like this house have a long history and shine almost like new, here the restoration was made with a lot of knowledge. The whole city center has an unbelievable charm.
Große Zweckbauten wie dieses Haus haben eine lange Geschichte und erstrahlen fast wie neu, hier wurde wirklich mit großem Wissen restauriert. Die ganze Innenstadt hat einen unglaublichen Charm.
Next to the city museum is the crater museum, in the garden you can see large chunks of molten rock formations, the meteorite changed everything here!
Neben dem Stadtmuseum ist das Kratermuseum angesiedelt, im Garten sind große Brocken geschmolzener Steinformationen zu sehen, der Meteroit hat hier alles verändert!
